On this July 4th, we celebrate the 79th Liberation Day in the CNMI, a powerful reminder of how far we have come since the end of World War II, when our people were finally freed from Camp Susupe in 1946. As we honor the memory of those who endured incredible hardship during the war, we also celebrate the strength and resilience that carried our people forward. Liberation was not just the close of a painful chapter, it was the beginning of a brighter future. Since then, we have built a more peaceful, prosperous, and hopeful Marianas. As part of the American political family, we continue to expand opportunities for our people, strengthen our culture, and shape a future rooted in dignity and self-determination. On this Liberation Day, let us honor our past and look boldly toward the future with pride in who we are and confidence in where we are headed.

Happy Liberation Day, CNMI!
