Celebrating 40 Years of the Northern Marianas Sports Association
This week, we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Northern Marianas Sports Association (NMSA) and the incredible athletes who represent our islands with pride. While I wasn’t able to attend in person, I sent a video message to congratulate NMSA and our athletes on this milestone. I also commemorated the anniversary on the House Floor. Sports are more than just competition—they build self-confidence, teamwork, and resilience—lessons I carry with me every day in Congress. I’ve seen firsthand how NMSA’s support uplifts smaller sports groups and provides athletes with moments of triumph that shape who they are. To all CNMI athletes, especially those recognized this week, you make the Northern Marianas proud. I am honored to share your stories and amplify your voices in Washington. Congratulations, NMSA, and thank you for all you do for our community. Looking forward to celebrating with you all when I’m home!
