Catching a Ride with COTA
I had the opportunity to do a ride-along with the Commonwealth Office of Transit Authority (COTA) this week on the amazing fixed-route system. Riding one of their buses from the beginning of its route to the very end allowed me to see firsthand the commitment of the drivers, staff, and leadership who work tirelessly to keep our community connected. I truly enjoyed the meaningful conversation I had with Special Assistant Maratita throughout the ride, as we discussed both the successes and the challenges of operating our transit system. It was also a pleasure to chat with passengers as they came and went, sharing their own experiences and perspectives. The system COTA has developed is GAMECHANGING. I am grateful for the warm welcome and engaging dialogue, and I look forward to supporting COTA in any way I can to strengthen this vital service for our community.
