Catching up with a friend in the Senate

On Tuesday, I met with Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska to reintroduce myself and discuss key issues affecting the CNMI. I emphasized the urgent need for federal assistance as our economy continues to struggle, with our tourism industry facing a steep decline. I also took the opportunity to thank Senator Murkowski for her continued friendship and steadfast support for the Marianas and all U.S. territories. As a well-deserved token of appreciation, I presented her with a mwar from the islands.
