Catching Feelings in Luta
I caught a lot of feelings in Rota this week. Our Saipan district office team and I flew down for an open house, and I had the chance to spend time with leaders across government, business, and the community. What I felt was everything at once. The love people have for the island. The belief that Rota can be the thriving community we all know is possible. And the worry about where things stand in the Commonwealth and around the world. All of that lives together. Being part of both the hope and the concern is what community feels like. It is not one or the other. I am grateful for the conversations and for the ideas people shared on how I can be part of solutions. We are getting to work on that. I am looking forward to being back with updates, with progress, and to continuing to be part of the community that calls Rota home. Thank you and I love you, Luta. |
