Casting My First Committee Vote

The Transportation and Infrastructure Committee held its first markup of the 119th Congress on six bills this Wednesday. Five of the bills were advanced via voice vote. A recorded vote was held for H.R. 1382 which amends the Federal Water Pollution Control Act with respect to San Francisco Bay restoration, which I voted to approve. The bill allows for non-federal agencies to implement water quality and restoration projects in the San Francisco Bay. While delegates do not vote on the House Floor, we do vote in committees where bills are debated and amended extensively before being reported to the Floor.
