Carol Lee Takes on the U.S. Open
We have featured Saipan’s own Carol Young Suh Lee in Saw You in the News before, when she captured the singles title at the ITF W35 Kunshan tournament in China. Well, Carol is giving us another reason to celebrate! Carol made her U.S. Open main-draw debut this year, earning her spot after an impressive summer that included her first WTA 125 title and a 16-3 run through the USTA Wild Card Challenge. The WTA also featured Carol and her journey from growing up on Saipan to competing on one of the biggest stages in professional tennis. It is incredible to see someone from our islands continue climbing in one of the most competitive sports in the world. Congratulations, Carol! We are proud to see you representing the Marianas, and something tells me this will not be your last appearance in Saw You in the News.
