"Beyond the Waves" Heads to Washington

We have such phenomenal talent in the Marianas, and the whole nation should see the depth and creativity of our young artists. This week, I had the chance to bring a piece of that talent to Washington, D.C., thanks to Hyunyu Choi of Saipan International School. Her artwork, Beyond the Waves, was a submission to this year’s Congressional Art Competition and she has graciously allow us to put it on display in your Congressional Office in the nation’s capital. I’m so grateful to Hyunyu for allowing us to showcase her work, and to her teacher Amie McRoberts for nurturing and supporting her students' creativity. Thank you both for sharing this beautiful piece with me and with the rest of the country.
