I was honored to be asked to give remarks on women’s entrepreneurship at the Association of Women’s Business Centers’ International Women’s Day Celebration this week. I spoke about the admiration I have for the women small business owners in the CNMI who have risen to overcome the challenges and obstacles they have faced. Their entrepreneurship is not just a job, but rather a declaration of independence and taking ownership of their future. I celebrated the women who take risks and who build, because when they rise, our community rises, and when our community rises, our whole country will benefit.
