I have been blown away by the interest this request has sparked in our community and across the region.The story of Amelia Earhart and her historic flight has inspired generations around the world, and the mystery of her disappearance continues to capture the public’s imagination. This week, ABC News Pacific Beat from Australia reached out to talk about my request, the memories of our elders, the Marianas, and the importance of this story. The global interest in Amelia Earhart is one more reason why uncovering the missing pieces matters and why it would be so significant if her story truly ended here in the Marianas.
