A second project for the Northern Marianas Judiciary has been included in the FY 2027 spending bill approved Thursday by the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, Science, and Related Agencies. The $500,000 in community project funding I requested will allow the Judiciary to procure law enforcement and security vehicles for CNMI marshals and Judiciary security personnel serving the courthouses on Rota, Tinian, and Saipan. This funding is in addition to the $800,000 I secured last week for the Judiciary’s Fire Protection and Plumbing Improvement project. The Commerce, Justice, Science spending bill now moves to the full Appropriations Committee before consideration by the entire House.
