Attention student artists! The 2026 Congressional Art Competition is now open to high school students across the CNMI. This annual nationwide competition invites students from every state and U.S. territory to showcase their artistic talent, with the winning submission from the Commonwealth to be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year. This year’s theme is “Our Golden Chapter: 50 Years of the Covenant,” highlighting an important milestone in our history. The competition is free to enter and open to all CNMI high school students, with submissions due by 5:00 p.m. on April 17, 2026. Students may submit original two-dimensional artwork, including paintings, drawings, photography, and digital art, to any of the district offices on Saipan, Tinian, or Rota. Take a look at our page for more information. I’m so excited to see the creativity and talent of our students on display once again this year!
