Yeji Lee, the 2025 CNMI Teacher of the Year from William S. Reyes Elementary School, and her partner, Jason Atrero, recently visited their congressional office in Washington. They were in the capital to participate in events hosted by the Council of Chief State School Officers, honoring the 2025 National Teachers of the Year from across every state and territory. Yeji is a dedicated 5th-grade teacher at William S. Reyes Elementary School, and Jason teaches at Garapan Elementary School. Congratulations to Yeji on this well-deserved recognition, and heartfelt thanks to both educators for their unwavering commitment to our students and for serving as an inspiration to fellow teachers throughout the Marianas. During their visit, Yeji and Jason also met Richard Chalkey, White House Special Assistant to the President, who met with me to discuss key issues affecting the Marianas. Thank you all for visiting.
