$143K for Wildlife Conservation

The Commonwealth’s Division of Fish and Wildlife will receive $143,053, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service announced Tuesday. This funding is part of $57 million in State Wildlife Grants apportioned for fiscal year 2026 to states and territories nationwide. The award will support conservation efforts for species of greatest conservation need, as identified in the CNMI’s State Wildlife Action Plan. Eligible projects include research, restoration, monitoring, habitat management, and other proactive measures to protect and sustain these species. Congratulations to DFW on t
