$1 Million for Gualo Rai Road Improvements

The Commonwealth’s Department of Public Works will receive $1 million under the FY 2027 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development appropriations bill approved Thursday by the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies. The community project funding I requested will support improvements to Route 317 (Gualo Rai Road), including roadway safety upgrades, enhanced accessibility, and modernization of drainage infrastructure to help reduce flooding and protect nearby areas. The FY 2027 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development appropriations bill will now advance to the full House Appropriations Committee for consideration before moving to the House floor.
