King-Hinds congratulates SBA Administrator Loeffler on confirmation
WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Congresswoman Kimberlyn King-Hinds on Wednesday congratulated former U.S. Sen. Kelly Loeffler on her confirmation as the administrator of the Small Business Administration.
“Over the past few weeks, I have been laser focused on being a steward for change in regard to ending one-size-fits-all policies and regulations that hurt the CNMI’s small businesses,” stated Congresswoman King-Hinds. “I am happy that Ms. Loeffler has been appointed and confirmed as SBA administrator. I hope we can find common ground in targeting federal small business programs to support and not hinder small businesses in rural and isolated communities like the CNMI.”
Loeffler previously served as the appointed U.S. senator, representing the state of Georgia in 2020-2021. Loeffler was confirmed to become SBA administrator by a vote of 52-46 in the U.S. Senate.
As a member of the House Committee on Small Business, Congresswoman King-Hinds is planning on working closely with Administrator Loeffler to lower the federal regulatory burdens and expanding the benefit of SBA programs to the CNMI.
