Working Towards Reliable, Affordable Energy
Eastern Power Solutions CEO Daniel Myung and Executive VP Karen Brazell met with me Wednesday to discuss Eastern’s ongoing and planned work on solar energy systems in the CNMI and across the Pacific. Eastern recently completed a 21 megawatt solar energy and battery storage project in American Samoa, and is planning to begin construction on climate-resilient solar energy and battery storage systems in the CNMI to help lower the cost of electricity in our islands. Eastern has a track record of infrastructure development projects such as supporting the SK Battery America facility in Georgia, specialized work at Major League Baseball stadiums and the acquisition and planned revitalization of the Pacific Star Resort in Guam. I look forward to working together with Eastern and other alternative energy partners to help secure reliable, affordable energy solutions for the Marianas.
