These days, information comes at us fast through online and social media, and it is hard to have real conversations about what matters most. That is why our Hill to the Vill Community Conversations, culminating in Wednesday’s event at the Kagman Community Center, mean so much to me. We put aside the noise, politics, and fluff to talk honestly about your lives. I heard about the struggles small businesses face, challenges in the economy, and frustrations with the way things are, alongside a steady message of hope that things can be better. I shared the work I am doing, provided resources, and listened to your views on today’s hot topics. The highlight was hearing directly from you. Public service has to put people first, and that starts with meeting you where you are.
