Dr. Debra Cabrera, Will Castro, and Mariana Visit DC
Dr. Debra T. Cabrera, her husband, former Guam Senator Will Castro, and their daughter Mariana visited the congressional office in Washington last Wednesday. Dr. Cabrera, originally from Saipan and a longtime educator and scholar in Micronesian studies, has dedicated her career to advancing education and community development across our region. Mariana is a rising senior at St. John’s School in Guam and a budding future Pacific Island leader. Our conversation focused on Mariana’s strong interest in history, healthcare, indigenous rights, and environmental protection efforts in the region, as well as her desire to pursue professional opportunities both in Washington, DC and back home in the CNMI. It was encouraging to hear her commitment to service and her passion for safeguarding our natural environment. Thank you for visiting.
