Congratulations President Lee Jae-myung

This week, I congratulated Lee Jae-myung on being elected as the Republic of Korea’s 14th President. The Northern Marianas share a unique and historic relationship with the Korean people — one that I deeply value as both a representative and person of partial Korean descent. Korea has long been an important partner for foreign investment, and today, as tourism from South Korea remains the CNMI’s top source market, I look forward to a continued partnership and shared future. President-elect Lee is assuming office at a pivotal moment in South Korea’s history and I wish him great success.
